Q&A
How did you get into film?
"I always had a love for movies more than anything I think. When I was six, my dad showed me the film Jaws. It was such a profound experience, that it opened my eyes to the world of cinema, but also would never let me swim in open water again."
What film do you think everyone should have seen?
"For me, it’s Tree of life by Terrance Malick. The way Malick is able to bring so much of who he is and what he believes about the world into his work, without it being didactic, is definitely the most inspiring piece of art that I can think of."
What’s the best ad campaign you’ve seen recently?
"DA SKYDIVE by Walid Labri & Jacquemus by Pantera stood out to me most recently.
Absolutely loved the simplicity, the subtle humor in it, and the way it was shot."
What’s your favorite TV show?
"Curb your enthusiasm. Their unique approach to filming it, which is basically improvising, gives it that weird, but relatable and hilarious character, that reminds me of those awkward little moments that we live through each day."
What website(s) do you use most regularly?
"Aside from all the visual platforms, I use Notion and Milanote a lot. Without Notion, I would drown in my own chaos. And through Milanote I am able to collect my ideas from everyday life, write them down, and already put a first mood board together.
What’s your favorite app on your phone?
"ChatGPT. From now on I’ll probably write all my treatments with it."
Where were you when inspiration last struck?
"Coming home to Tyrol always sparks new ideas. The landscapes, the traditions, and the people back home always set off something inside me that gives me the drive to create. I guess it’s actually a very romanticized way of looking at it though. It’s probably just because it gets boring after a few days."
What or who has most influenced your career?
"Definitely my dad. He opened the door to the world of cinema, music, and art for me."
